Remote work is becoming the New Normal



Remote work is on the rise. Remote working means the working style that used by professionals to work outside from a traditional working environment. With the development of technology, the ability to work from home rather than corporate office has been feasible in prsenet.so remote working is only now becoming mainstream.

Remote working means working style that allow professionals to work outside from traditional working environment. The concept that based on the work does not need to be execute in a specific place. With the pandemic situation employees tends to Variety ways of remote working. That’s the beauty of remote work – people can choose to work in a way that makes most sense for their lives. But it varies with different sectors of working as per the below chart it illustrates the potential share for different sectors which used to work in remotely (Lund, et al., 2020).

The most recognizable reason for why employees tends to remote working is because that offers them a very reliable life style. They are not frame to a schedule time period to be in an office, remote employees able to focus on the work that matter to then outside of the working environment. Those employees are certainly less stressed and having higher morale that works in office. So it creates very productive group of employees. Remote employees are further motivated by heir background and can filter out environmental disturbances as they see comfortable. In detail, the opportunity to work remotely alone conveys a new perspective to a remote workers’ potion. One of the common argument for this remote working concept is the increased productivity due to the flexibility. Remote employees are more likely to put additional effort in their jobs, going above target their work done in compared to in office employees. While this concept becoming more and more common, that is true that there are some negative ideas about this working style. Because remote workers have a very trouble situation in communication, sometimes employees are not actually working (Bloom, 2014).

With the development of science and technology everyone develops their life style so remote working also new normal concept in today and further it may rise with different changers according to the requirement of people. Because it highlights a value addition to company operations.

Covid-19 forced employees to work virtually and remotely.Work from home gives benefits like work life balance, less commute stress, location independence, improved inclusivity, money savings, positive environment impact, customised office and healthier work life.There are some disadvantages like lack of motivation, lack of team work, distractions, lack of security and equipments.

    Actually with this Pandemic time most of countries introduced working from home concept and we also began to practice it. I think some industries could save their money too with this concept since they can save electricity bills, office rentals, employees transportation cost and other wastages related to office maintenance, transportation cost and workers also could work flexible working hours. specially after that some industries ask their employees to move work from home concept permanantly.so I think its not new concept so far & became normal thing up to today.

We won’t immediately see a surge in fully remote employees. Rather, in the next few months, we’ll see businesses begin to allow one or two days of remote work per week. As organizations see the surge in productivity, lower levels of employee stress, and better business outcomes, we’ll start to see the proliferation and normalization of remote work.

  8. Good article. COVID-19 has given companies across the country and around the world a curriculum in having employees work from home. There are a lot of reasons remote work is better for employees’ life balance. There are the time savings of travel, which can add up to many hours a year that can be placed to good use for family time, household tasks, or exercise. There are benefits for parents who appreciate being more accessible to their children. And there is often more flexibility in how employees structure their workdays.
